Hollywood legend Morgan Freeman was spotted in Kathmandu, Nepal filming for a documentary Story of God for National Geographic
Despite his quiet arrival some did recognize him in the streets of Kathmandu. Raj Khatiwada was one of them who originally took the video of him on Nov 29th while filming on location. During his daily commute to his work he saw a crowd of people and a camera crew near Jain Bhawan in Gyaneshwar. He decided to stop and check out for himself and to his surprise it was none other than The Shawsank Redemption actor Morgan Freeman himself. He couldn’t believe it at first but after confirming with the crew it was him, Raj told Nepalisite. Check out the video clip below to see for yourself.

Photo of him in national costume, “Daura Suruwal” have gone viral on Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, reddit). Michael Gonzales (Deputy Chief of Mission, US Embassy, Nepal) told Nepalisite that the photo was originally taken by “Mary Soroka, an American tourist who happened to be visiting Nepal last week and coincidentally came upon Mr. Freeman while touring Basantapur Durbar Square.”
