Since 1992, Siam Institute of Hair Design and Beauty Care has excelled at providing professional education and training in the beauty industry in Nepal. The Institute is the FIRST of its kind that was officially approved by Nepal’s Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training (CTEVT).
The Institute has built an excellent reputation by consistently providing high quality training and education to generations of beauty care specialists and helping launch many successful and profitable careers both domestically and abroad.
LEADERSHIP
The Institute is owned and run by the renowned beautician KAMALA SHRESTHA, a true pioneer in her field, who received her training in Thailand, and has over four decades of experience in the field of cosmetology and beauty care.
Through her relentless work, passionate dedication and inspirational presence, Mrs. Kamala Shrestha has revolutionized the Beauty Industry in Nepal. Mrs. Shrestha is the Founder and the President of the Beautician Professional Association of Nepal. She has served three times as the Central Executive Member of Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI). She also served as a Chairwoman of Women Entrepreneurship Development Committee and a life member of CACCI.
She is also the proprietor of Siam Beauty Salon that was established in 1979.

TRAINING APPROACH
Mrs. Kamala Shrestha is assisted by a team of highly dedicated and experienced instructors. Our instructors have the educational background, professional experience and dedication to provide the highest-level training to our students.
Our program integrates hands-on training approaches and aims to provide individual attention to each student.
The training is appropriately structured to include the latest trends in the field. The institute runs the classes in the on-site classrooms that are equipped with all the necessary amenities to provide the best training environment to the trainees. We use high quality instructional materials, including brand-name equipment, tools, and cosmetic products.
COURSE OF STUDY
The courses have been developed to provide the students with the theoretical knowledge, practical skills, professional attitude and confidence necessary for the success in the cosmetology and beauty care professions.
You will learn:
- Principles of hair care (e.g., shampooing, toning, hair and scalp conditioning)
- Identification of hair problems and their treatments
- Cutting and styling hair
- Chemical treatments (hair coloring, highlights, perms, hair straightening and more)
- Makeup art and techniques
- Nail art and treatments (manicure, pedicure)
- Bridal makeup and hairdo
- Henna/mehendi, threading, waxing
- Facials, massage
- Basic anatomy and physiology
- Lifestyle and dietary choices
- Hygiene
- Salon management
And much more!
Students’ progress is accessed through regular testing and exams.
All successful graduates will be presented with a Certificate of Diploma and a Certificate of Advanced Training at a special graduation ceremony.
Courses are taught in Nepali, however in special cases classes can be conducted in English and Hindi as well.

SCHEDULE/DURATION
Classes are held from Monday to Friday with two options to choose from:
Option 1: 4 hours per day (Complete in 3 months)
Option 2: 2 hours per day (Complete in 6 months)
