Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) on Thursday announced a cash prize of NPR 300,000 to each players of Nepal Cricket Team. He made an announcement on twitter congratulating Nepali Cricket Team for their remarkable feat of securing a spot in the World Cup cricket tournament qualifiers.”

Nepal emerged victorious over the United Arab Emirates by a narrow margin of 9 runs, after UAE had set a target of 311 runs. Nepal managed to score 269 runs for the loss of six wickets in 44 overs. After a thrilling triumph over UAE, Nepal has clinched a direct berth to the Cricket World Cup Qualifier.
In June, Nepal will be taking part in the world cup qualifiers that will be held in Zimbabwe.
President Ram Chandra Paudel also congratulated the Team.

Likewise, the Bagmati, Madesh, and Sudurpaschim provincial governments, will also be rewarding the players. Bagmati Province declared a prize of Rs. 100,000 for each player whereas the Madhesh Province government has declared a monetary award of Rs. 200,000 each for Gulsan Jha and Arif Sheikh. The Sudurpaschim Province Government has announced a reward of Rs. 200,000 each for Dipendra Singh Airee and Bhim Sarki.
