Second episode of The Voice of Nepal was aired on Sunday. Veteran singer Deep Shrestha, Sanup Poudel, Abhaya Subba and Pramod Kharel are the coaches for Nepal’s first-ever edition of the World’s biggest reality singing show.
Deep Shrestha was not impressed with Shrijay Thapaliya’s pronunciation of some of the words when the 25 year old sang Albatross’s song “Nischal.” Shrijay however, gets Abhaya as his coach who was the only coach to turn around.

In the first episode of the show, Sanup was chosen as a coach by two contestants followed by Pramod and Abhaya with one each.
Deep Shrestha got his first contestant during the second episode. 29 year old Annie Shrestha chose Deep Shrestha as her coach.
The Voice of Nepal is hosted by Sushil Nepal who had hosted Nepal Idol season 1. Laxman Poudyal, the director of the show was quoted in The Wave Magazine saying that the The Voice of Nepal is the most expensive reality show in Nepal. Poudyal said Nepal is the 193rd country to produce the world’s biggest TV reality singing show, and this is the most expensive one, too. We have invested more than Rs 12 crores just for the production requirements.
