This interview was taken during joint Nepalese convention by ANMA/NASEA  that was held in Raleigh, NC in Sept, 2009.

Phiroj Shyangden was a member of a popular Nepali band 1974AD.  He had just left the band to pursue his solo career at the time of this interview was conducted

Phiroj says unlike playing with the band, playing solo can be challenging since you will have to play with different musicians all the time.  It will be hard to find like minded individuals when you are a solo artist, but  you can have freedom by being a solo artist that will enable to experiment more and control on what you want to do , he added.

This is his third time in the US, first two were with the band 1974AD.
