Tour De Lumbini-Pedal for Peace” was held from April 27th till April 30th.  The 4 days cycle rally got it start in 2012 in an initiation of World Cyclist, and Mt. Everest Summiteer Pushkar Shah, to celebrate peace on the occasion of Lord Buddha’s birthday.

Special thanks to Aayush Simkhada for providing information along with the photos.  Aayush who is a software engineering student also took part in the rally.  It was his second “Tour De Lumbini.”

Pushkar Shah who is also the president of “Tour De Lumbini” told Nepalisite that there were around 200 cyclists among which the youngest rider was Ajay Basnet from Hetauda and the oldest rider was 72 years old Thongchai Panswad of Thailand.

According to Aayush, actor Nikhil Uprety took part up to Kalanki on first day.

The cost for the trip was Nrs 4500 for Nepalese that included Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation, 1 bottle Water each day for 3 nights and 4 days, T-Shirt, Certificate, and Insurance.
