Responses from the fans have been very overwhelming says Captain of Nepali Cricket Team, Paras Khadka when interviewed by ICC.   He further says that he is very glad to “bring smiles on the faces of people back home”, and feels encouraged to do better in the coming days.

“domestic structure has to improve for sure”

It was a historic moment for Nepal when the Nepali Cricket Team secured One Day International (ODI) status.  Thanks to their victory over Papua New Guinea, and Netherlands’ victory over Hong Kong that made Nepal an ODI nation for the first time.

“Getting an ODI status is one thing but with proper structure in place will even help prosper in the coming years” Paras told ICC during an interview.   He hopes that the ban put on Cricket Association of Nepal to be lifted soon, which will enable the Nepali Cricket team to function well with proper management.

“we have all these resources and now its about managing these resources”
