Prayeen in Hotmail Ad
Campaign (July 8th, 2011)
Prayeen, vocalist of the award winning Nepalese American pop rock band,
The Vibez, has been selected as one of the employees to act in Hotmail’s ad
campaign.
Hotmail, the leading email provider, is currently celebrating its 15 years of
glorious history. Prayeen is currently working in Hotmail’s Mountain View
(Silicon Valley Office) as Hotmail Engineer.
Prayeen said, “Our friends were taking photos in office but I was not sure for
what. After few weeks, hundreds of my friends called me and told me that they
saw me on Microsoft Hotmail’s online ad campaign. I did not believe it at first.
When I saw the ad online by myself, I was surprised and was really thankful to
my company. It has motivated me a lot. I mean who would not be, Hotmail choosing
a Nepali guy like me in one of their campaigns”.

The Vibez had won Best Band of the Year 2009 Title in both Image and Hits FM
Awards. The band recently performed live in Washington DC, the capital city of
the US. The Vibez is the most popular and active rock band in the US, performing
regular gigs continuously, especially in California.
The band consists of Direk Lal Shrestha (drummer - currently residing in Nepal),
Prayeen (Vocals – lives in San Francisco) and Rupak Lama (guitarist – lives in
Santa Rosa).
Tehi Pal, the third music video of The Vibez is currently one of the most aired
songs in the airwaves of Nepal’s electronic media.
